PTFA
The PTFA is our Parent, Teacher and Friends Association.
All parents/carers and staff at Stanford Infant School are automatically considered members of the PTFA. It serves an essential role, firstly by providing a sense of community and secondly by organising events that raise funds for the school to buy the extras that we would not be able to afford from the normal school budget.
NEXT UP:
Our next event is Film Night on Friday 4th October 2024!

We always welcome help and support:
The PTFA welcomes all offers of help throughout the year. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who wants to get involved in our bi annual Raffle and Silent Auction and anyone who could help with design and technology. There is plenty to get involved with though, so any help is much appreciated. It’s a great way to meet people and have fun and you can get involved as little or as much as you’re able to. Please also try and come along to our termly meetings that are crucial to organising events.
More information on the roles within the PTFA can be found here.
Events
The PTFA organises lots of different events throughout the year; film nights, disco's, family bingo and many more!
We also take part in other fundraising events such as collecting clothing for Bag 2 School who pay us based on the weight of the bags we donate.
PTFA 2022/2023
Last year we had a fantastic series of events that resulted in a fundraising total of over £15,000. We have a new committee for 2023/24 and hope that we continue to see lots of new parents and carers at our meetings.
Please see latest on how much has been raised in this academic year, and how those funds have been spent below.
What does the money buy?
Our PTFA events are key fundraisers that provide essential money for our school. The school increasingly relies on our support to offset Government cutbacks to help provide our children with a stimulating and enriched curriculum.
Funds will always be made available to subsidise school trips, replace playground items and of course keep the books available to children plentiful and up to date. Over the past few years funds have been used for the development of our amazing Forest School to enhance the capacity for outdoor learning at Stanford Infants, as well as providing new technological resources for the school. We were fortunate to be able to fund a whole school trip to the i360 in 2022, which allowed the children to celebrate all together after an unusual few years.
