Children's Parade
We took part in the Brighton Festival Children's Parade on Saturday 3rd May 2025.
The theme of the parade was 'Our Voice' and this year we were a Herald school leading the 'Change' section. Our entry was 'A Performance of CHANGE – Fire to Ashes to flame as the Phoenix rises'. We made a giant phoenix puppet as the big make for our entry. We dressed up in costumes inspired by our theme, little phoenixes and t-shirts with 'Change' printed onto them. Mr McGuigan led a Year 2 Samba Band too!

2024
We took part in the Brighton Festival Children's Parade on Saturday 4th May 2024.
The theme of the parade was 'Dream Again' and we were in the 'Just Dreaming' section. Our entry was 'Counting Sheep'. We made a giant rainbow as the big make for our entry, as well as three sheep. We dressed up in costumes inspired by our theme, sheep and pyjamas. Mrs Marsh led a Year 2 Samba Band too!

2023
We took part in the Brighton Festival Children's Parade on Sunday 7th May 2023.
The theme of the parade was 'One World, learning and growing from each other' and we were in the 'Inventions' section. We made three giant chess pieces as the big make for our entry, a rook, a queen and a bishop. We dressed up in costumes inspired by our theme, knights and pawns. Mrs Marsh led a Year 2 Samba Band too!
